'Tis the season of holiday pop-up shops, and here are three more to add to your shopping list: The annual Philadelphia Christmas Village will return to Love Park on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov 22. Over 60 vendors will man their booths at the outdoor market, which offers everything from ornaments and toys to jewelry and crafts. The cozy European-style set-up could get even the Grinchiest of folks into the holiday spirit; the traditional German and European fare doesn't hurt, either.
In Old City, the holiday pop-up from Kevin O'Brien Studio will open at 17 N. Third Street on Nov 16, remaining open through Jan 19. Expect decorative pillows, throws, rugs, and scarves, all of which can be spotted at high-end shops like Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Anthropologie. For Black Friday, the pop-up with offer a storewide discount of 25 percent.
For one weekend only, Nov 24 and Nov 25, a handful of artists and local crafters will host the Saffron Pop-Up Shop in Mt Airy, across the street from Weaver's Way. The shop will offer handmade glassware and pottery, plus handbags, artwork, and funky repurposed tin jewelry that's perfect for your favorite wacky aunt. Shop hours are 9am to 8 pm on Saturday, Nov 24 and 9am to 6pm on Sunday, Nov 25.
