The Maison Martin Margiela x H&M Collab drops tomorrow, and the only place to get your hands on it locally is H&M's location at 1725 Walnut Street. A representative from the Walnut Street store tells us that doors will open bright and early at 8am, but diehard MMM fans will most likely queue up ahead of time. (The collab will not be stocked at H&M's Chestnut Street location, which would make more sense given its larger size, but we digress.)
The 100+ piece collab features reiterations on the most iconic designs from the Margiela archives, but without the sticker shock—pieces from the collab run from $13 to $399. Shoppers can expect assymetrical hems, oversize silhouettes, and drape-y construction signature to the French fashion house.
The line system will work like this: The first 420 people in line will be separated into 14 groups of 30 people, each group receiving a different colored bracelet denoting a time slot. Each group will get fifteen minutes to shop, with five minutes between slots. Our advice: Peruse the lookbook ahead of time, plan a course of action, and arrive well before 8am.
