Ardmore's Suburban Square has welcomed a new bridal salon, Elizabeth Johns. The independently-owned, full-service bridal boutique moved into the space left vacant by Priscilla of Boston, a David's Bridal subsidiary that shuttered all 19 national locations in late 2011. According to Mainline Media News, Elizabeth Johns storeowner Melinda Ladyzinski walked into the former Priscilla of Boston location hoping to buy store fixtures for her boutique's existing location in Moorestown, New Jersey, but ended up leaving with a lease for the swanky 46 St. James Place address.
Along with evening wear, shoes, jewelry, and accessories, the high-end shop offers bridal gowns from Anne Barge, Carolina Herrera, Liancarlo, Elie Saab, and Pronovias. What's more, Elizabeth Johns is the only shop in the tri-state area to carry Elie Saab, and the only retailer in the U.S. to stock his entire bridal collection.
