Don your rose-colored glasses: a bit of '50s nostalgia is in store on Walnut Street. Bettie Page Clothing opened at 1605 Walnut Street after celebrating with a grand opening party on October 12. The new store houses 1940s-1960s vintage-style reproductions inspired by pin-up icon Bettie Page, and the decor is throwback, too—it's furnished with vintage couches, chairs, and lamps.
Equipped with a ten-year lease, the Walnut Street store marks the chain's first East Coast location; the company is based in Las Vegas, but according to an article by Flying Kite Media, co-owner Jan Glaser was born in Philly.
