Fishtown bakery Whipped Bakeshop is adding a dash of fug to the holiday season with its Ugly Christmas Sweater and Ugly Hanukkah Sweater cookie gift sets. With snowmen, wreaths, and pom-poms painstakingly piped onto each cookie (bakery owner Zoe Lukas tells us each batch is a three-day process), the cookies are almost too cute to eat, but in a My-credit-card-is-maxed-out-and-I-have-to-chip-in-for-this-*$%-office-holiday-party, Damn-right-I'm-gonna-stress-eat-this-entire-tray-of-cookies kind of way.
The kitschy treats are set to make their national debut this morning with Hoda and Kathie Lee on the Today show, where they'll mostly like be washed down with a nice, tall glass of milk chardonnay.
