In addition to the opening of men's suiting retailer SuitSupply (slated to debut at 16th and Locust in February), nattily-dressed fellows can look forward to Allen Edmonds coming to Philly in 2013.

We've just received word that Allen Edmonds' new, Philadelphia store—the brand's first location in PA—will open sometime during the spring. The 1,200-square-foot store will set up shop at 1736 Chestnut Street, dangerously close to Boyds and Sherman Brothers, currently the city's sole stockists of Allen Edmonds' handcrafted leather footwear. What do you think? Will Allen Edmonds be a good fit for Chestnut Street? Sound off in the comments, below.

Update: A rep for Allen Edmonds tells us the Chestnut Street store will open Feb 1, 2013.
