The annual 611 holiday pop-up shop opens today, featuring men's and women's apparel from Philly DJ-turned-clothing-designer Nigel Richards. Housed in a once-vacant garage in Rittenhouse, the pop-up will showcase Richards' DJ Life and Luxe Life collections, which draw influence from dance music culture and Richards' staple South Street-area record store that shuttered in 2007.
Priced at $100 or less, items from the DJ Life collection include record and laptop bags, hoodies, snapback hats, belt buckles, and graphic tees that your mom will deem inappropriate. The Luxe Life collection includes men's dress shirts, varsity jackets, flannels, tissue tees, leather weekender luggage, scarves, and hats. Shoppers can preview items from 611's spring 2013 line, and peek Luxe Life's new limited-edition, Philly-made, hand-dyed longsleeve jerseys, which will debut during the event. The pop-up shop ends on Sunday, Dec 30; hours are 12pm to 7pm, daily (closed on Christmas).
