Tonight, Arcadia is hosting a Holiday Party and Trunk Show at its Northern Liberties location at 819 N Second Street. The soiree will fete the opening of "The Fine Line Between Art & Fashion," an in-store exhibit from Macy's fashion incubator designer and artist Melissa D'Agostino, who will be showcasing her hand-dyed Shibori textiles during the event. In addition to a trunk show featuring D'Agostino's designs, local jewelry designers Angela Monaco (Concrete Polish), Linda Symth (Fleather Fox), and Zivile Pupinyte (Screwed Forever) will also be present, peddling their handcrafted, locally-made accessories.
Making the event even sweeter, Arcadia will offer a 20% discount (excluding trunk show items) to shoppers who bring along journals, makeup, gently used jewelry, or personal care items to be donated to One Simple Wish, a charity that grants wishes to children in need. The party takes place from 5pm to 9pm.
