On Thursday, custom men's apparel maker J.Hilburn will be arriving in Philly via a collaborative retail space run by independent J.Hilburn Style Advisor Tina DeVita in conjunction with Jennifer Green of HyLo Boutiques. The luxury menswear label, which offers custom-made shirts and suiting at affordable prices, operates a direct-to-consumer business model that eliminates the mall experience.
The process is simple: Clients meet with a J.Hilburn style consultant who provides wardrobe guidance, takes measurements, and puts in an order; then, and in about a month, the tailor-made pieces arrive, with quality on par with Zegna and Ralph Lauren. J.Hilburn also offers a full ready-to-wear line that includes pants, sweaters, outerwear, polos, belts, and socks; a sampling of the line will be available at the Old City location.
