Virtual marketplace Fab.com has increased its online inventory to 15,000 products—more than the total number of products sold by Ikea. And the comparison is no fluke: At its most recent shareholders presentation, Fab openly declared that the company is modeling itself after the Swedish home goods behemoth. The design-focused site sells quirky home goods, gifts, lifestyle, and pet products at very accessible price points, and has made a major push in fashion, jewelry, and beauty in the past year.
