Because you can never have too much advance notice of a freebie, set a reminder in your phone: Madewell's new, Philadelphia store has an official opening date of Tuesday, October 15, only a few weeks behind schedule (the sister brand of J.Crew had originally planned to be open in September.)
The 1716 Walnut Street store (formerly Arden B.) will debut with a grand opening celebration that promises discounts and giveaways. With every purchase, shoppers will be gifted a complimentary polka dot clutch, and the first 100 shoppers will receive a mystery gift card in an amount anywhere between $10 and $500. Arrive between 10am and 5pm to take advantage of the freebies, and use the hashtag #madewellphilly when bragging about your scores.
