Welcome to Racked Philly's first annual Racked Awards, our celebration of the best and brightest of Philly retail—the local labels, designers, and indie boutiques that made getting dressed the best part of waking up over the past 12 months.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to unveil the winners of the 2013 Racked Awards for Philadelphia. Our champions across eight categories represent the best and brightest in local retail and shopping. Because they work hard and they're good at what they do, we hereby celebrate them as true style superheroes, even if none of them would be caught dead in a red nylon cape.
Before we list the names, though, let's go over the rules and logistics. For three of the below categories, we asked readers to choose between a pre-determined list of nominees. For the remaining five, we made the decision ourselves after much deliberation. Nominees and winners alike will be feted at a party tonight in Manhattan. Those winners that couldn't make it should watch their mail for their coveted prize: a turquoise mannequin head bearing the official golden turban of the Racked Awards. And now, without further ado, the winners in Philly.
