The lifestyle footwear and apparel brand Vans will open a Walnut Street store during the spring of 2014. Setting up shop in a 4,000-square-foot space at 1708 Walnut Street, Vans' Walnut Street store will mark the brand's first Philadelphia location; area stores include spots within the KOP, Willow Grove, Cherry Hill, and Deptford malls.
"Vans is extremely enthusiastic about the opening," says Vans Director of Real Estate Rob Groscup. "This will be Vans first 'high-street' location and a model for other similar stores in the U.S." Current tenant Jacques Ferber Furs will act as landlord, consolidating its inventory to the building's upper floors while Vans takes over the ground level space.
