Rock On: The Annual Lagos Sample Sale Starts Today

Philly doesn't see too many sample sales from big-name brands, but when we do, we go all out (remember Lilly Pulitzer?). This weekend's Lagos sample sale will probably draw a tamer crowd, but it's worth shopping all the same. An annual event, the sale offers 50% off hundreds of fine jewelry pieces from the Philadelphia-based contemporary jewelry brand.

Here's the deal: The sale takes place at Lagos' headquarters (the Walter P. Miller Building at 441 N. Fifth Street) and kicks off Friday, November 8, at noon. Upon arrival, you'll be given a customer number, a name tag to wear, and an approximate wait time. (Most people sign in, then go grab a coffee while waiting.) All jewelry is ticketed at retail price; the 50% discount is taken at the register. Our advice: Arrive within the last two hours of the sale day when it tends to be the least busy. (Don't worry about a dwindling selection: inventory is replenished throughout the day.) Keep in mind that Philly's 8% sales tax will be tacked onto your final bill.

The sale runs from 12pm to 8pm on Friday, November 8; 10am to 5pm on Saturday, November 9, with a repeat performance next week.
