Jason Markk's biodegradable, dye-free shoe cleaning solution is a hot ticket item your sneakerhead friends may not even know about yet. The liquid cleanser, formulated specifically for sneakers, safely cleans a wide range of premium materials (pony hair, ostrich leather), which has helped catapult the LA-based brand into favor among careful sneaker collectors. "Sales have grown from $78,000 in 2011 to a projected $2 million-plus this year," reports WWD.
Now for the good news: Villa, a sneaker chain here in Philly, is one of the few national chains to carry Jason Markk products (Ubiq stocks it, too.) The four-ounce cleaning kit comes complete with a synthetic bristle brush, so your sneaker pals can meticulously tend to their prized sneaks like they're grooming a bonsai tree.
