Consider this the luxury fashion line by which to measure all luxury fashion lines: Mi Piaci has debuted a line of 24-karat gold-infused leather goods, textiles, and furs. In a nutshell, a process called Precious Surface infuses the gold atom right into the surface of the material, ensuring the permanence of the products' "Midas touch."

The cost for this flashy amazing-ness? Calfskin and alligator handbags range from $1,695 to $17,495; cuffs of the same leather go for $265 to $465; and the Fantasy Fur Collection (mink capes, fox boleros, lambskin jackets) will set you back anywhere from $12k to $30k+. And FYI: Despite the Italian name, Mi Piaci's corporate office is actually based in Sharon Hill (about a 20-minute drive from Center City), where the company will soon open a production facility.
