Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you happen to stop by the Reading Terminal Market for lunch this week, be sure to look up. A public art installation by Alexander Stadler, owner of stadler-Kahn (one of our favorite home decor shops), is strung from the ceiling.
Titled "Food Chain," the papier mache and carved foam display features foods that are delicious on their own, but probably wouldn't taste so great together, like a giant shrimp, fruit wedges, Chinese takeout, and a sesame bagel.
