Philly is home to cool eyeglasses spots like Modern Eye and Art in the Age for Warby Parker, and now it looks like the 'burbs are stepping up their hip eyewear game. SEE Eyewear, a boutique fashion eyewear retailer, is opening a location with Ardmore's Suburban Square shopping complex. "We tentatively plan to open mid-July," says SEE's Susan Berryman. "We looked for years in the Philly market and are thrilled to have a space in Suburban Square."
As its "Hip Without the Rip" slogan implies, the boutique promises trendy prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses at lower prices than its competitors; SEE glasses are designed exclusively for the brand, which allows for less of a mark-up. Another bonus: Glasses are displayed throughout the boutique, not under lock-and-key, so you can try them on without relying on a salesperson. Click through the slideshow for some of our favorite SEE styles.
