Alexander McQueen Gold Jacquard Woven Loafers, $1195. Image credit: Ssense

The moment you get an email from a designer or store stating there's a sale or new stock, you probably want to click the link; I know I do! This week, Alexander McQueen won my heart with these woven geometric loafers. What a statement shoe! I clicked the link (swooooon) and immediately thought about wearing them to a dinner party. A statement shoe can turn an all-black outfit into a show stopper look and can make an already graphic/patterned/printed outfit even more fun! After the jump, check out my statement shoe picks from Blue Sole Shoes, learn why I love them and how you can pull them off!

Beaded loafer by Donald J. Pliner, $598
Why I love them: Simple pattern and a pop of gold? Sold!
How you can pull them off: In all black. Let the gold beads do the talking.

Jo Ghost snakeskin ankle boot, $292 (originally $365
Why I love them: The hint of purple and a simple shape.
How you can pull them off: With dark jeans and a white tee.

Jo Ghost strappy sandal, $295
Why I love them: Check the animal print detail! Plus, gladiator-inspired footwear is trending (did you see my column on Wednesday?)
How you can pull them off: With black or tan shorts and a graphic tee.

Donald J. Pliner leather on leather lace-up, $220 (originally $440)
Why I love them: The two shades of leather, one stitched atop the other.
How you can pull them off: With a well-fitted suit, like Indochino's linen and wool summer suit ($429).
