Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Sara Selepouchin's new gift boutique, Occasionette, is officially open for business at 1825 East Passyunk Avenue. The sunlit spot is filled with pretty little things like jewelry, stationery, art prints, candles, ring dishes, and gift wrap—all of which make shopping for baby and bridal showers less of snoozefest.
The rear of the store functions as the headquarters for Girls Can Tell, Selepouchin's own diagram-illustrated gift line, which is carried by national retailers like Anthropologie, ModCloth, and Paper Source. Click through our slideshow to get the gist of the boutique, and mark your calendars: the shop will host a grand opening party this Saturday, April 13, from 5pm to 10pm.
