Earlier this week, WWD reported that Uniqlo will be coming to Philadelphia as part of its plan for US expansion; however, Uniqlo reps aren't ready to comment: "While I can confirm that UNIQLO USA is looking for potential new locations, including in and around major cities, we have not made any official announcement regarding any new location," said a Uniqlo rep in response to a Racked request for more intel on the situation. "In fact, as a general company policy, we only announce new store openings when we are ready to do so, and not before."
Back in March, we received word that Uniqlo hasn't signed on to be a part of the new, 90,000-square-foot retail building at 15th and Walnut, but we have an inkling that may change. We'll let you know as soon as more information comes to light, and if you hear something, say something: the Racked tipline is always open.
