Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Just in time to provide you with summertime's wanderlust essentials, Fireside Camp Supply will reportedly open this month at 2207 South Street. Per the shop's website, the store will cater to "those urbanites that ache for the earth beneath the ever-expanding concrete."
As for inventory, outdoor gear and USA-made products from Polerstuff, Bison Made, and Minnetonka will fill the shelves, and rental services will be offered to novice campers headed out of the city for a short weekend jaunt. That sounds nice, but we really want to hear more about this s'moregasbord that's taking place opening weekend, the date of which has yet to be announced.
