Today, Carousel Vintage made its impending closure all the more real by revealing an official closing date: Sunday, July 28. Until it shutters for good, the boutique will be open from 1pm to 6pm daily, offering 20% off its inventory of vintage accessories and 40% off all in-store apparel.

So what's behind the store's demise? Boutique owner Sara Jayne tells us the blocks she's on is "at this time, very bad for [vintage] retail," its foot traffic limited to sightseeings tours of the historical district. However, when asked about future plans for Carousel, Jayne says, "At this point, I'm planning to reopen. I'm currently exploring the option of going in on a large space with three to five other vintage sellers. It would be a co-op, but more like little stores inside a bigger space." Stay tuned.
