Welcome to Waggy Retail, a proper introduction to those lovable living mascots seen romping, frolicking, and/or snoozing behind the counter at boutiques around the city. Want to see your favorite shop pet featured in this column? Hit the tipline at philly@racked.com. Woof!

Today we're getting to know Kacey, the luxuriously silky two-and-a-half-year-old golden retriever seen cuddling in cardboard boxes at Old City's The Geisha House. The sidekick of boutique owner Cortney Cohen, Kacey was named after her parents, in a way: "My fiancé's name begins with a K, mine with a C, hence "KC" or "Kacey," says Cortney. "I know—cheesy! But real." Here's Kacey at a glance, as told by Cortney:

Likes: dog commercials, swimming, running with other dogs, sleeping with her legs in the air, rolling in sidewalk grossness
Dislikes: baths, telling her to "shhh," shoplifters, when people ask if she likes Bush's Baked Beans

Naughty Habit: eating loaves of bread left too close to the edge of the kitchen counter
Favorite Food: salmon-avocado sushi rolls
Favorite Pastime: swimming at Lake George, rolling in the sand at the beach, coming over to you to shake off
As a puppy, Kacey was: the calmest puppy ever! You would pick her up and she was like a limp little bean bag. A few weeks later she discovered how delicious leather shoes are and learned quickly how much she loved running!
