Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Welcome to Racked Philly's search for Philadelphia's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite (polls open Monday, August 19). Let the games begin!
Turning heads under a crown of flowing, flaxen hair, Pure Barre owner Noelle Zane is more than just a pretty face and bangin' bod. Equal parts talent, fearlessness, and daredevil (she once bungee-jumped with a 103-degree fever), the former dancer moved to Nashville after college to pursue a singing career.
After falling in love with the Pure Barre technique in the South, Zane decided to bring it back to Philly, founding three area Pure Barre locations. And while she can be wild and wacky, when it comes to whipping her clients into ballerina shape, Zane means business. "I've been told I'm stern, motivating, and fun all at the same time," she says. "If I can make a difference in one person's day, that's all that matters." Did we mention she's single?
