Hottest Trainer Contestant #4: Cristina Espaillat

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to Racked Philly's search for Philadelphia's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite (polls open Monday, August 19). Let the games begin!

Just like Contestant #3, Sculpere founder/creator Cristina Espaillat is unattached; but good luck trying to land a date with the busy Pittsburgh-born trainer. Espaillat spends most of her days at her NoLibs studio helping clients keep it tight and toned with Sculpere's signature ballet-yoga hybrid workout.

A professional ballerina until a career-ending injury necessitated she follow another path, Espaillat created Sculpere to unite the intensity of ballet with the mental rewards of yoga. "I've been told my classes are the perfect combination of relaxing and challenging," says the fitness buff. Getting back to that date, here's an ice breaker that may help your chances: Espaillat is a self-described fantasy and sci-fi nerd.
