Welcome to Racked Philly's search for Philadelphia's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite (polls open Monday, August 19). Let the games begin!

If you want to get on Char Biggs' good side, you'll first have to earn the approval of his dogs, Roscoe and Charley. The hard-bodied personal trainer at 12th Street Gym (his biggsBUILT exercise regimen has a loyal following), has a major soft spot for his St. Bernard and Chihuahua canine companions. "They are both rescue animals and totally opposite sizes which is funny to look at," he says. "They are best friends and always brighten up my day!"
Biggs' rockin' bod is proof his power circuit method of training is effective, but the athlete also goes hard outside the gym. The adrenaline junkie has bungee jumped five times, and he most recently survived a two-mile-long zipline suspended 700 feet over Mexico's Sierra Madre Mountains. Now with his feet back on solid ground, Biggs plans to launch an eBook, a workout video series, and a philanthropic apparel line, Rock The Crown, all before fall 2013.
