SEE Eyewear Is the New Go-To Spot for Thick-Rimmed Frames

Back in April, a rep from SEE Eyewear told us that the fashion eyewear retailer would open a Main Line store over the summer, and it appears that was the truth. SEE (Selective Eyewear Elements) recently debuted its 31st location—Pennsylvania's first—within Ardmore's Suburban Square shopping center.

"Comparable eyewear at other stores around Philadelphia will cost $700, $800, $900," says the release. "But at SEE, you can walk out with three pairs for that same $900." Prices for prescription frames center around the $200—$300 mark, with trendy, thick-rimmed frames in funky colors displayed (out in the open, mind you) alongside less ostentatious readers. But will the promise of a bargain and floor-to-ceiling displays be enough to seduce Modern Eye and Innervision devotees to the 'burbs? That remains to be SEEn.
