Welcome to Racked Philly's first annual Racked Awards, our celebration of the best and brightest of Philly retail—the local labels, designers, and indie boutiques that made getting dressed the best part of waking up over the past 12 months.

It's time to announce the editor's choice nominees of the 2013 Racked Awards, our celebration of the best and brightest in local shopping and retail. These five categories represent Philly's most influential movers and shakers! Since the competition is so stiff, we're going to take some time to deliberate; winners will be announced on Thursday, October 10, just in time for our gala celebration in New York City that evening, when our local winners—along with a full nationwide roster of champs—will be awarded the coveted Golden Turban.

If you've missed our readers' polls, here's a catch-up: Madewell won Best New Addition to Rittenhouse Row, Suitsupply won Best Menswear; and The Geisha House won "So Hot Right Now."
