Top NYC Chefs Join Proposed Casino; Fried Chicken Pop-up

NORTH PHILLY Developer Bart Blatstein announced at a press conference this week that he's thrown some major weight behind his Provence Resort & Casino proposal: Tom Colicchio and Andrew Carmellini, both mega-stars of the NYC restaurant world, have signed on to the project. If the bid wins, it will be the first Philly location for both chefs. (That is, if Marc Vetri doesn't have his way.)

POINT BREEZE — This fried chicken lunch pop-up with David Katz (of the late great Mémé) at American Sardine Bar is an absolute must. Trust it.

THE INTERNET — As this season of Top Chef nears its end, the manufactured drama's really picking up its pace, and much of that drama has (surprisingly) involved hometown boy Nicholas Elmi. And boy oh boy, do the people of Twitter have some things to say about him and his psychological makeup. Eater Philly rounds up some of the highlights.
