Come spring, two Philly-area Kmart locations will be but a memory. The discount retailer has announced that its Juniata Park and The Gallery at Market East locations will shutter by the end of April, with liquidation sales starting February 9. The bad news: Nearly 300 people stand to lose their jobs. The good news: The closure will put Market East's Kmart out of its misery, and a replacement retailer will hopefully breathe new life into The Gallery.
Which brings us to the point of this post: What new retailer should join Burlington Coat Factory to anchor The Gallery? Any predictions? Will it be a Bloomingdale's, as Philly gossip site PhillyChitChat speculated last spring? Or would you like to see a Target? Something else?
