Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

AVENUE OF THE ARTSJose Garces' much-delayed showpiece at the Kimmel Center, Volver, is now said to be opening in April. Eater Philly stopped by to grab a few snapshots of the interior and some more details on the "performance kitchen" and the swank champagne-and-caviar bar.

THE INTERNET — In honor of Valentine's Day, Eater Philly rounds up some of the best (read: most ridiculous) holiday-themed listicles, which tell us that our city's chefs are hotter than hot, while the rest of us are notter than not.

UNIVERSITY CITY — Big-time celeb chef Rick Bayless cut the ribbon on an outpost of Tortas Frontera at Penn's newly-renovated ARCH Building. Perhaps best known ('til now) for making layovers at O'Hare tolerable, the fast-casual chain stresses local sourcing and making its authentic Mexican items fresh to-order.

RITTENHOUSE — In stellar news for vegans, the team behind wildly popular Vedge restaurant announced this week that their second endeavor will be an all-vegan "street food bar" called V Street. Look for globally inspired small plates and a full bar highlighting natural wines.
