Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
ATTN Menfolk: Here's reason to upgrade from those grody kicks you've been clinging to since college: Allen Edmonds will extend an instant $35 off a pair of its American-made men's dress shoes with any donation of gently-used men's, women's, or kids' shoes. The 92-year-old shoe label, which opened an outpost on Chestnut Street in 2013, is partnering with Soles4Souls for this annual drive; Soles4Souls is a charitable organization that distributes footwear to those who need it.
If you'd like to purge your shoe closet without making a purchase, you can do that, too. Just swing by the Chestnut Street store to make your donation.
