Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Upon completion of a 250,000-square-foot addition (for which ground breaks later this spring), the King of Prussia Mall will bask in the glory of becoming the largest mall in the country. However, the mall's time in the limelight is destined to be short-lived; the Mall of America and Miami's Adventura Mall both have expansions on the docket that'll bump KOP to a third place ranking, size-wise.
Circling back to that expansion: The $150 million connector project will link The Court and The Plaza, transforming the KOP Mall into a more cohesive unit. Translation: Should you prefer, you won't have to venture outside to get from Neiman Marcus to Macy's. Fresh air is overrated, anyway.
