Third Street Habit's January Bartle has coined the perfect phrase to describe her Old City boutique's regular clientele: fantastically nonchalant. "They're casual but pulled together," says the store owner, and her boutique's top spring trends—distressed denim, athletic styles, and "wanderlust" looks—are perfectly suited to help customers emit that effortless boho-chic that's as suited to the streets of Paris as it is to Philadelphia.

Keep reading to peep Bartle's favorite spring looks, take in a styling tip or two, and learn which trend is the boutique owner's top pick of the season.

"There's a big athletic trend this season. We're surprised that athletic trend is translated to all ages, but it actually works well to incorporate one sporty piece into your look—plus the [Isabel Marant] wedge sneakers are just so comfortable!"

"This season's denim story is about distressed denim. We love this boyfriend style by Frame Denim. In the realm of denim distressing, we stayed away from the waist-to-ankle shredding and opted for styles that were more versatile. This pair is not too hot, not too cold— just right. Frayed and slouchy denim is a laid-back look, but it can be dressed up nicely with a feminine blouse and statement necklace."

"'Wanderlust' was my favorite look on the Spring '14 runways. Our buy for the shop has always leaned towards the bohemian, and this is a sophisticated take on that aesthetic. The wanderlust look features bold colors, lush layers, global prints, and swaying fringe. Layering textures and colors feels very high fashion, and is also practical for this East Coast weather that changes daily."
