Welcome to Editor's Picks, a weekly round-up of what we're buying (or at least coveting) this week.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo, $20.95 at Amazon

Racked market editor Nicola Fumo: I'm half-Italian and I've elected to have bangs for over a decade: There have been greasy times. Amika's Perk Up Dry Shampoo is the best of the (many, many, many) dry shampoos I've sprayed through my front-facing locks. I really cherish it for all it isn't: no weird smell, no powdery effect, no hairspray-style stiffness. It simply leaves my bangs looking clean when, well, they're not.

Herschel Supply Co. 'Hank' wallet in black polka dot, $35 at Amazon

Racked LA associate editor Danielle Directo-Meston: In the same way Zooey Deschanel cannot resist a Peter Pan collar, I can't look away from a polka dot print. After buying one as a gift for a friend, I wound up snatching one of Herschel Supply Co.'s canvas bi-fold wallets for myself thanks to its no-nonsense approach to carrying the essentials.

With just an ID holder, five card slots, and enough space for all my future Benjamins, it's the perfect antidote to my bulging zip-up pocketbook, which inevitably ends up holding more unnecessary crap than cash. The pattern gives this simple-yet-functional billfold a subtle touch of femininity, but for those seeking less dotty options, the Hank comes in leather, solid hues and other prints on the brand's site here.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +, $14.50—$38 at Sephora
Racked NY associate editor Laura Gurfein: The classic Clinique yellow moisturizer is the only one I've ever used, and it's been good to me. So naturally, I was a bit hesitant when I found out last summer that its formula changed, denoted only by a little "+" in its name.

A pump bottle made its way under my Christmas tree, and I'm happy to report that the moisturizer is better than ever. The lotion itself is much creamier to the touch, and I instantly noticed an improvement in my skin. Sometimes, change can be a good thing.

French Connection Animal Mania Crocodile Print Bag, $98 on Amazon
Racked DC editor Adele Chapin: When I first saw this French Connection purse, I thought, "Ew, looks like a doctor's bag." And then the longer I looked at it, I thought, "Ooh, looks like a doctor's bag." It's a classic shape that isn't pegged to any particular style or year, and that's what sold me. That, and the fact that it costs just under $100.

The purse is Mary Poppins-esque, with room for an iPad, book, winter hat, water bottle or anything else you could think to cram in there. And there are some nice details, like the zip top, interior pockets, slim black handles, and matte black hardware. Yeah, it's not leather, but the croc pattern is interesting and I don't have to be too precious with it. Good thing, since the first day I took it out, I was splashed head-to-toe by a car while standing in the curb like in a freaking comic strip, and the purse handled that with aplomb.

Champion women's eco fleece crew neck, $19 (was $28)
Racked SF editor Kristen Philipkoski:While I was panic Christmas shopping at the mall back in December, I came across a collapsing mountain of Champion sweatshirts at a department store that will remain nameless. I nearly cruised right by the unruly scene, but the word "eco" caught my eye. Yep, Champion has a line of reasonably-priced sweatshirts made out of recycled cotton and poly (though it doesn't have that poly feel).

I had been hunting for a vintage white sweatshirt with designs on copying the impossibly cool one that Isabel Marant wears in her H&M collab video. Turns out white and vintage are not the easiest combo to find (without stains, anyway). The Champion version, however, is doing the job quite nicely: it's inexpensive, environmentally friendly, casually chic, and I love the lack of pretension inherent in this old-school brand. Plus, if you spill red wine on it like I did? Buy another one—the men's version is only $15!
