Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's only been open a little longer than a year, but Midtown Village's Cella Luxuria is already prepping for expansion. The modern design showroom will soon take over its neighboring building at 1216 Chestnut Street, which was most recently home to a denim store, reports Philadelpia Real Estate Blog.
The new space will exclusively stock sustainably-sourced modern design furniture, while Cella Luxuria's existing space will continue to host an eclectic medley of vintage- and industrial-inspired home accents, lighting, rugs, and more. (There will be an interior pass-through to allow for browsing between both sections.) Check out the finished product sometime in May.
