Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The French florist of your pink peony-picking fantasies is coming to Old City next week. Owned by Vincent and Claudia Roux, Petit Jardin En Ville will take over Three Sirens's 700-square-foot former home at 134 North Third Street. "Our aesthetic is lush and garden like," they tell us. "We want the customer to feel transported to a fleuriste Parisien."
In addition to a full menu of floral design services, Petit Jardin En Ville will offer garden pots, furniture, tools, and vases, plus one-of-a-kind linens, illustrations, and candles, all imported from France, of course. We're also told the shop has plans to host design classes, so you can transform your Philly pad into a Parisian pied-à-terre. Stop by to smell the roses when the Petit Jarden En Ville opens May 2.
