Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Congrats are in order for Seun Olubodun, the entrepreneurial designer behind the Philly-born lifestyle brand Duke & Winston. Accompanied by his affable sidekick, Duke the English bulldog, Olubodun will relocate his NoLibs showroom to a larger space on Chestnut Street that's more equipped to handle the warp-speed growth of the Duke & Winston brand.
Formerly home to Kembrel (R.I.P.), a 2,600-square-foot spot at 1822 Chestnut Street, across the street from the soon-to-open Joan Shepp, will serve as Duke & Winston's new digs. The store will open its doors on Wednesday, May 14, right on the heels of the launch of D&W's SS14 collection, which debuts May 7 and sees an expanded selection of graphic tees for women (score!). An official grand opening event takes place Wednesday, June 11, so stay tuned to the Duke & Winston Facebook page for party specifics.
