PHILADELPHIA — Need some new brunch recommendations? Check out the newly updated Eater Philly brunch heatmap, which covers ground from French bistro brunch to food-truck brunch to Tuesday brunch. (Bonus brunch: buzzy new Wash Square West spot Petruce et al. is doing a one-off brunch just for Mother's Day.)
KENSINGTON — The Kensington Community Food Co-op finally announced this week that they've found a place to call home — and the plans include a cafe, outdoor seating, and a liquor license.
FITLER SQUARE — Rival Bros. Coffee has been operating their popular truck for a few years (and supplying their Fishtown-roasted beans to plenty of hot spots around town). This week, they opened their first brick-and-mortar cafe, which also features food in collaboration with High Street on Market and Green Aisle Grocery.
RITTENHOUSE — A pair of mystery guests left a total of $7,000 in tips (on a tab of just over $400) last night at Rouge. Now comes confirmation that the tips were the work of mysterious city-hopping megatippers TipsForJesus.
