Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Based out of NYC's Garment District, Project Gravitas claims to have created the "perfect dress." Sure, it's a tall order to fill, but you just might want to give founder/CEO Lisa Sun the benefit of the doubt—particularly because each and every one of her USA-made frocks is lined with shapewear that promises to be discreet, effective, and comfy.

We think Sun might be on to something, but if you're not convinced, check out the Project Gravitas collection 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 5, during a one-time-only pop-up shop at the Icon 1616 building on Walnut. Eventgoers will receive a custom dress fitting (RSVP here), and a percentage of the event's proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success Philadelphia.
