With Uniqlo's Philadelphia and Willow Grove stores opening October 3 and October 10, respectively, the Japanese retailer's marketing team is kickin' it into high gear—and they're not taking any prisoners.
Uniqlo's current contest on Twitter, for example, is baiting brand enthusiasts new and old with cold, hard ca$h. "#UniqloPhilly is new in town, and we're fascinated by Philly language," says the promo. "The more your Twitter feed is jammed with local vocab, the more special discounts you can win up to $100 to shop at our online store!"
Over on Buzzfeed, the brand is laying it on thick with good old fashioned flattery in a sponsored post. "It's not JUST the city of brotherly love. Philly is quirky, delicious, and exciting," goes the lede in 10 Reasons Why Everyone Should Live In Philly At Least Once. We see what you're doing there, but we'll give you our money anyway.
