Eric Blumenfeld Wire/North Broad Street: Two huge stories dropped this week from the Eric Blumenfled camp. Not only are plans for The Divine Lorraine moving forward, he's also apparently in negotiations to bring a large catering facility to the Metropolitan Opera House at Broad and Poplar Street. What's more, he's planning to turn Thaddeus Stevens School at Broad and Spring Garden Street into 56 "boutique loft-style" apartments.
Art Museum: Rodin Square received some dough to help finance the 293 luxury rental units that will sit atop the mega-Whole Foods at 22nd and The Parkway. The other big news here is the "Sky Park" - which will boast a green roof and infinity pool. The residence will be called The Dalian.
South Street: Seger Dog Park was named Philly's Best Dog Park during Curbed Philly's first-ever Outdoors Week. Big ups to the crew at Seger, the rest of the nominees and all those awesome people who maintain Philly's kick-ass dog parks!
Philadelphia: Have you ever wondered what Philly looks like from outer space? Now you can thanks to some very cool astronauts in the International Space Station. They've mapped a whole slew of cities from around the globe by taking pictures of the lit up at night.
Old City: Take a look at some awesome pictures from way before you were born. You;ll gander at Chestnut Street in the 1890s and also realize that Front and Market (and Dock Street) were also a congested, bumpy mess.
