Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
New York City's My.Suit is now (very softly) open in Philadelphia. The made-to-measure men's suit company has scooped up the 1518 Walnut Street space left vacant by Sharper Image and, more recently, Indochino's Traveling Tailor pop-up shop, which took place more than a year ago. Interestingly enough, My.Suit operates on an eerily similar premise as the Indichino pop-up: come into the shop, get measured by a tailor, pick out fabrics, return for your reasonably priced custom suit two weeks later. But unlike Indochino, My.Suit will be sticking around for good, so this is probably not a Single White Female situation.
Marking My.Suit's fifth store location (the company's first outside New York state), My.Suit Philly is open for business now. However, they're not stocked to full capacity yet, so don't pass judgement until Wednesday, July 9, My.Suit Philly's official grand opening date.
