Welcome to Racked Philly's search for Philadelphia's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smokin' hot locals—fitness experts who not only look hot in spandex, but can make you look amazing too. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which readers vote for their favorites (polls open Thursday, August 21). Let the games begin!
What began as a decision to get in shape for her wedding day has evolved into a full-on career for Rachel Rubin, the first steel-ab'd contestant in 2014's Hottest Trainer competition. After her walk down the aisle five-plus years ago, the sporty, spunky blonde picked up all the necessary accreditation needed to spread the love of her favorite strength training-based workouts, which by the way, are equally suited to coaxing a whimper out of new moms and 20-something frat boys. Because kettlebells.
And while Rubin is really, really, ridiculously good looking, she approaches fitness as a journey that's more than just skin-deep. "My favorite part about the job is helping to change people's lives," says the married mom of one. "There's no greater feeling than empowering [clients] to create a fulfilling, strong life that they so desire and deserve."
