Welcome to Racked Philly's search for Philadelphia's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smokin' hot locals—fitness experts who not only look hot in spandex, but can make you look amazing too. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which readers vote for their favorites (polls open Thursday, August 21). Let the games begin!
Proof that blondes do, indeed, have more fun, The Wall Cycling Studio owner Juliet Sabella is the kind of woman who gets excited to break a sweat. Probably because the 29-year-old indoor cycling instructor is living proof of diet and exercise's positive effects. Sabella was considered obese as a young adult, and a stern heads up from her doctor resulted in a full lifestyle change—and some serious weight loss.
It's been 10 years since Sabella's dropped the pounds, and while she's kept it off through discipline and her heart-pumping cycling workouts, it's not like the King of Prussia native is living off flax seed crackers. In fact, one of Sabella's favorite hobbies is making goat, mozzarella, and ricotta cheeses, "like, from scratch," she tells us. The other loves of Sabella's life include her husband, Karl, their 3-year-old French Bulldog, Brooklyn, and wearing the brightest, most fluorescent fitness gear ever to assault an eyeball. "I want my energy to reflect in what I wear!" she explains. Sabella's perky, yes, but you won't find her exercising to the beat of "Single Ladies": This living, walking ray of sunshine prefers to sweat along to the howls of Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.
