Welcome to Racked Philly's search for Philadelphia's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smokin' hot locals—fitness experts who not only look hot in spandex, but can make you look amazing too. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which readers vote for their favorites (polls open Thursday, August 21). Let the games begin!
Flywheel Sports instructor Emily Rothrock can reduce you to a pile of pulp—and not just through her 45-minute-long killer indoor cycling classes. The Main Line native and Penn State grad is blessed with the rare kind of approachable, "girl next door" looks that can bring out the giggling school girl in just about anyone, including you, so pull yourself together; you're embarrassing yourself!
Perhaps realizing her innate super powers, Rothrock tries to keep a straight face during her classes, but it's not always easy; this brunette is an all-around happy camper, and she loves pretty much everything about her job, except, maybe, getting up at the crack of dawn for those 6 a.m. classes. (Still, her dedicated clients are totally worth the early wake-up call, she tells us.)
Did we mention she's single? Here are a few talking points to jot on your palm should you be lucky enough to land a date with this beauty: 1) Rothrock has a serious collection of Nike sneakers. 2) Spandex is her favorite textile. 3) She uses her friends and family as guinea pigs for never-before-tried gluten-free recipes, is not sorry. 4) She regularly dreams about becoming the Beyoncé of country music. Don't we all?
